Outstanding: If you move to "Outstanding", you will get a dot on your clip. When you get 5 dots you get to pick a coupon from the prize catalog. You will also get a new clip in the next color of the rainbow until, finally, you earn a glitter clip.
Great Choices: As you continue to make good choices, you'll advance to "Great Choices". Good Job: Making a good choice will help you move up to the "Good Choices" section of the chart. Ready to Learn: You will start out each day on "Ready to Learn". You will move your clip up or down depending on your choices each day. Slow Down: If you receive a warning, you will move your clip down to help you remember to think about your choices. Think About It: If you continue to make poor choices, you will move to "Think About It". Parent Contact: If you still choose to make bad decisions, you will move to "Parent Contact", I will have to contact your parents with written documentation, a behavior document, phone call, or email. Dear Parents,
Last year I changed from pulling cards as a consequence of misbehavior to a clip chart system similar to the one on this page. Every day the clips will start on "Ready to Learn." The students will move their clips up or down depending on the choices they make during the day. Please keep in mind that your child may not move every single day. For them to move up, they must go above and beyond in their behavioral choices! The benefits of using the clip chart are I can focus on rewarding those students who are following the rules instead of always focusing on those who choose to break the rules. I know everyone makes mistakes. Now instead of your child's day being ruined because of a mistake or bad choice, there is the opportunity to move back up through good behavior. The students will have a behavior chart in their folders to let you know how their day went. Please take the time to view and initial the chart, and talk with your child about their behavior. Thanks for your help, Donna Camp |
